Padded Room Level from "Wilson's Heart" game

This group of images are in-game screenshots from the Oculus Rift VR Game "Wilson's Heart" by developer Twisted Pixel Games. I spent a few years working on this game with one other Environment Artist, (with outsourced help for some static props). Wilson's Heart was a truly fun project to work on. The game was set in a 1940's era hospital and featured a black and white film noir-like art style which made for an interesting challenge. The bulk of the assets I created were actually made in full color while I toggled on a black and white view mode constantly to check my values and contrast for the final game. Please note, if you haven't played the game, there are spoilers here!

Each of the screenshots in this collection was taken from levels in the game where I did significant work. I've included descriptions along with each image explaining what aspects I was responsible for and which items i did not contribute to.

This particular group of images is from the Padded Room level.

The player reveals a secret door leading to an underground dungeon-like bunker.  I made the portcullis gate and wench shown here. Another artist made the rock walls and ground in the environment.
